May 12, 2011 (St. Louis, MO) - Pedal the Cause Founder Bill Koman talks about the 2011 Race for the Cause to be held October 1 and 2 in St. Louis. Koman also announced the addition of Edward Jones as the 2011 presenting sponsor of the event. "We feel strongly that cancer can be cured if we all work together as a community," said Koman. Koman added that almost $1 million was raised in the inaugural 2010 event with a "triple" planned for 2011...Pedal the Cause, founded in 2008, provides funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital through its annual cycling challenge. The charity is driven by the singular hope that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer.
