8-OCT-2010 -- ST LOUIS - The Drier family, whose college daughter Victoria, suffers from cancer speaks at the kick off event for the inaugural Pedal the Cause cycling event. Pedal the Cause was founded to be an annual cycling event that seeks to provide and direct net funding for cancer research, cancer discovery grants and clinical translational care on best ideas not currently eligible for federal funds. With 100% of donations remaining in St. Louis, the event was started by Bill Koman, a St Louis business man and himself a cancer survivor.
