At the far end of Sullivan Island, an island that sits at the mouth of Charleston Harbor sits Fort Moultrie that has seen the the British, Confederates, Union soldiers, US Army soldiers and now armies of children on field trips who come jaded but leave with a sense of wonder about South Carolina's role in the Revolution and Civil War.
